Soulshine began as a dream to create a soulful sanctuary where people could connect to themselves, to others, and to the spirit of Bali. In 2011, Soulshine opened a small five-room retreat with a yoga shala on the top floor—built with the belief that if the most important space was created with intention, people would come.

Since then, Soulshine has grown into a vibrant destination hosting over 500 retreats, weddings, concerts, workshops, and transformational gatherings. Guided by the mission to inspire a way of living that fills the soul with joy, Soulshine is reimagining wellness as a playground for the soul—a place where creativity, movement, music, and connection come alive.

Today, Soulshine is a barefoot luxury resort, retreat center, organic farm, restaurant, and music venue. The resort expanded in 2023 with Stay Human, a farm-to-table restaurant and pool club (complete with adult waterslide); Togetherness, a lounge for music and meaningful conversations; and the Panorama Suites—tropical-modern rooms with turntables, vinyl collections, and the best views in Ubud.

Rooted in the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana—harmony among people, nature, and spirit—Soulshine honors the island’s traditions. The land has been farmed since the 9th century, and daily offerings continue as they have for generations.
