ABOUT THIS TRIP
As a professional cook, Amanda Haas has spent her career studying the anti-inflammatory foods that improve our health. Along with teaching, she has shared her knowledge through multiple cookbooks on anti-inflammatory cooking, including the best-selling “Anti-Inflammation Cookbook” and more recently “The Vibrant Life--Eat Well, Be Well: Recipes, Meditations, and Guidance on Ways to Well-Being, from Acupuncture to Medicine.”
Although Amanda was encouraged by the changes she witnessed in her own health through an anti-inflammatory diet, she has continued to search for a deeper understanding of her chronic pain through a relentless understanding of healing modalities, ranging from typical Western solutions like medication to more Eastern approaches including acupuncture, meditation, yoga, breathwork, and the integration of holistic doctors into her life. This never-ending curiosity led Amanda to a retreat at Michael and Sara Franti’s beautiful resort Soulshine in Bali last spring.
After spending a week immersed in the healing surroundings of Soulshine, which included daily yoga instruction; healing food; massage; cultural explorations around the island; and the power of music and dance, Amanda decided she wanted to share this magical experience with others and host a retreat of her own.
Amanda has developed a dream week that will allow the guests to break free from the daily demands of life while experiencing a joyful variety of modalities to improve their physical, spiritual and emotional well-being. Every guest will have the chance to experience yoga, meditation, and breathwork; cooking demonstrations and conversations; adventures around the island; and live music and dance experiences on-site nightly.
The Vibrant Life Retreat is a week of exploration, relaxation, and celebration that was designed to leave each guest feeling more connected and committed to their own well-being.
Amanda has reached out to her favorite teachers to co-host this magical week. Hailey Lott, a certified breathwork and meditation instructor, will be leading us through daily yoga, breathwork, and meditation sessions.
This week will be a transformative one, showing you that wellness is a holistic experience and that most importantly it can be fun.
Join Amanda Haas for a unique culinary adventure as she helps you discover how what you eat can also impact how you feel. As someone who has lived with chronic pain, Amanda will share the habits she has incorporated into her life that has allowed her to feel her best self. In a time that has pushed us to our limits, this retreat will help you feel alive again.
ABOUT OUR HOST
AMANDA HAAS
Amanda’s career began at Williams Sonoma 25 years ago, one month after she graduated from college. She spent seven years with the company in operations before deciding to pursue a culinary education. She completed the full-time program at Tante Marie’s Cooking School, then began a free-lance career focused on recipe testing and development. Amanda worked on over a dozen cookbooks, including testing the recipes for the IACP Award-Winning A16 Food + Wine; writing Cooking in Everyday English with Chef Todd English; and developing multiple titles for other authors.
HAILEY LOTT
Hailey is of the firm belief that we create from our minds. Emotional artistry isn’t a skill set reserved for the spiritual elite: it’s one you can master too. She’s here to help women LOVE themselves from the inside out.
Her angelic radiance has that certain "can’t put your finger on it" magnetism. But to make the assumption Hailey woke up like this would do a gross disservice to how much energy she pours into activating her highest, most vibrant self every moment of each day. This is a practice. And together --through meditation, movement, visualization, sound healing, shadow work, and intention setting-- Hailey can help you to expand your mindset to make the most of this human experience.

ABOUT SOULSHINE
SOULSHINE BALI
WE ARE SOULSHINE, WE CREATE AN ATMOSPHERE WHERE LIFE’S ALCHEMY CAN TAKE PLACE. WHERE THE ORDINARY IS TRANSFORMED INTO THE EXTRAORDINARY.
Soulshine is a boutique sound + wellness resort, located in the tropical paradise of Bali’s cultural hub, Ubud. Rooted in barefoot luxury and Rock & Roll, at Soulshine we believe it is just as important to connect to your heart on a yoga mat, as it is to let your soul soar on the dance floor, or spend time enjoying farm to table food grown right on location.
Owners International recording artist Michael Franti and former Emergency Room Nurse turned Entrepreneur Sara Agah Franti built Soulshine around the idea of ‘the joy of wellness’. A magical and open-hearted place where one can hit life’s reset button through the practice of inward and outward expressions of joy. We are a place of creativity where there is music and artwork around every corner. We want people to feel inspired to create, to express who they truly are and to be their best self.
We are dedicated to gathering people to share in the joy of wellness, music, incredible food and most importantly good vibes. Whether your purpose of travel to Bali, is to find something or let something go, to create, to transform, to soak in the sun in the day and rock out at night, it can be found at Soulshine.
